Why am I not interested in marriage and family-making?

Image
I’m 26 and will turn 27 in a few months. I find it really hard to connect with people, especially men. The men I’ve met often come across as having a "male ego," and I feel like I just can’t include them in my life. Maybe I’ve been unlucky, but I’ve always believed strongly that women should be independent and earn their own living. I’ve met men who say they support women being independent, but their actions show otherwise. They admire women who agree to everything without speaking up, even if they’re uncomfortable. I’ve also seen women being mocked for contributing financially or working in the house. Some women can’t even ask their husbands directly for something—they have to involve someone else—and even then, they’re disrespected. It hurts me deeply. I once dated a man whose best friend cheated on his wife with his late friend’s wife. He idolized this friend because he had power, even though what he did was wrong. When I called him out on it, his response was, “Just leave...

Pregnant Delhi Woman Bites Off Husband's Tongue While Kissing A shocking incident occurred in Delhi where a pregnant woman bit off half of her husband's tongue during a kiss. The 22-year-old man underwent surgery at Safdarjung Hospital, but doctors are uncertain if he will ever be able to speak again, according to the police. Neighbors and family revealed that the woman, who was eight months pregnant at the time, was unhappy with her husband because she felt he wasn’t good-looking and didn’t match her outgoing personality. Their relationship often involved fights over compatibility issues, with the woman criticizing her husband’s appearance and simple lifestyle. Despite their frequent arguments, the couple reconciled multiple times. However, the wife reportedly showed little interest whenever the husband tried to kiss her. One day, when he tried again, she bit off more than half of his tongue. The woman was charged under Section 326 of the IPC (causing grievous hurt) but was ...

Here are some of my favorite, most interesting, non-edited pictures: A rare photo of Charlie Chaplin from 1916 when he was 27, in a different look. Lunch on top of a skyscraper - Unknown, 1932. A giant sculpture in New Zealand that looks like a cartoon piece of paper on a hilltop. Trees in Schonbrunn Park. A burned-out utility pole. A Hausmannian building on Georges V Ave. in Paris. Jenny Joseph modeling for the Columbia Pictures logo in 1992. She had never modeled before and never did again. What it looks like to stand directly under an Aurora. A 3D grass globe illusion at Paris City Hall. A half-graffiti room in Marseille, France. The left side is a mirror, and the right side is clear glass, with a friend standing on the other side. Who said women can't park!! The surface of a kidney stone under a scanning electron microscope (SEM). The other side of the Moon captured by the Orion spacecraft.   Here’s some strange stuff I’ve noticed: 12-13-year-olds giving relationship advice. Arjun Kapoor's acting skills being discussed a lot. More screenshots of tweets than actual tweets. 100+ answers that are like investigations, better than CBI. Actresses' dress codes being talked about for NCB interrogations. The "Follow me, and I’ll follow you back" rule. Over 100 answers or sympathetic replies about babakadhaba – when 1 or 2 answers would be enough. 20-10-7-5 year gap photos. Seriously, enough already! People comparing completely different personalities on Instagram and Twitter – like a TikTok star and Ratan Tata. Plagiarized answers posted every day. Anonymous sex stories and fantasies being shared. Personal messages asking for follows or spaces. Read Also:- Is Ratan Tata really as great as he is portrayed? Image source: Quora and Google.

2008 : During the terror attack on the Taj Hotel, Ratan Tata stood outside the hotel with other senior staff members. The terrorists killed 33 people, including 21 guests and 11 hotel employees, and set the hotel on fire. After the security and rescue operations, Tata pledged to reopen the hotel for the public. He paid higher salaries to the victims' families and covered the medical bills for the injured. Under his leadership, the Tata Group started The Taj Public Service Welfare Trust. He also met the families of the victims and provided them with both financial and emotional support. 2020 : During the COVID-19 pandemic, Taj Hotels provided 20,000 free meals daily to healthcare workers and migrant workers. Tata personally asked the hotel management to prioritize humanity and ethics. 2023 : Tata personally funded a small animal hospital in Mumbai for stray animals, believing that animals, like humans, deserve love, respect, and care. What is one thing you just don't understand?

Recently, Urvashi Rautela posted several pictures of herself distributing food and water bottles to people in need. It’s a good deed, but one picture really stood out to me. While giving food or doing any kind of charity work, is it necessary to take pictures? In the picture, it’s clear that she’s holding the food foil just to take a photo. This makes me wonder: Does she really understand what “hunger” is? It seems like she’s just taking pictures to show off, claiming she’s doing something great for the world. But that’s not what matters. What really matters are the “blessings” and the “karma” behind the act. This is something I don’t understand. If someone wants to do charitable work, they shouldn’t brag about it on social media. It should come from a pure heart, not for attention. Edit: The people who inspire us often don’t show their faces. Why? Because when you show your face, people might question your religion, where you’re from, and so on. That’s why they cover their faces...

Is civil service good for a lazy person? I want a peaceful, stress-free life with very less work. Is the IAS or IRS good for it?

When I was a young officer, I had a Commissioner who usually arrived at the office around 11:00 AM and left early. Even when he was there, he spent most of his time chatting with junior officers instead of doing his actual work, which he would finish in an hour or so. He eventually rose to the top of the department and became the Chairman of the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC). When I was posted in Chennai, there was an IAS officer from the 1992 batch who wasn’t on good terms with the government at the time and was given a low-profile posting. He told me that he only worked for about half an hour a day. To pass the time, he would bring books to the office and read. A few years ago, there was an IG-rank IPS officer named D K Panda, who saw himself as a special person and used to go to the office fully made-up. Despite this, he kept getting promoted on time. Getting into civil services is extremely tough, with a rejection rate worse than 499 out of 500. However, once you...

In Kolkata, there’s a famous shopkeeper named Chhangani who sells Kachoris. He’s always so busy serving his customers that he rarely has time to talk to food bloggers, even though many food vloggers usually get a lot of attention from shop owners. Chhangani was rude from the start, but his food was very popular even before food vloggers started visiting. After he gained recognition, more and more people came to try his Kachoris, and food vloggers came to interview him. This annoyed him. He began being rude not only to the vloggers but also to his customers. Over time, his attitude changed for the worse. He started paying less attention to cleanliness around his shop, probably thinking that his fame would keep him successful. Since he was rude, the food vloggers started highlighting his bad behavior and the unhygienic conditions of his shop. What goes up must come down. If you can't handle success with humility and instead become rude and arrogant, your downfall is inevitable. Thi...

As an angel investor, what kind of behavior do you hate for a founder to have?

Thomas was asking for $250,000 in exchange for 25% of his company. Thomas is a smart person and owns several patents and inventions. However, these inventions haven't made any money yet. "Thomas, what's your business strategy?" I asked. He avoided the question and kept talking about his invention. "Thomas, how do you plan to sell this furniture?" I asked again. "Do you have a plan?" His presentation showed that his idea was great, but he just kept demonstrating how easy it was to assemble his furniture. "Thomas, your product is great. Now I need to understand how you plan to make money," I said again. He quickly assembled the wooden panels and showed me how his innovative mechanism worked. Now, to answer the question, as an angel investor, what behavior do I dislike from a founder? Thomas avoided my questions. It's normal to feel nervous, but ignoring my questions and not listening to advice are big red flags about a founder’s charact...

A 26-year-old woman’s wedding was called off on the night of her marriage in Vijaywada, Andhra Pradesh, after her ex-boyfriend and two of his friends sent naked photos and videos of her to the groom. They had been stalking her and her marriage for months. Just as she was about to exchange vows, the groom and his family received the explicit content. The groom called off the wedding, thinking she was “characterless,” and his parents also believed she wasn’t a “nice girl” because of her past. After the bride filed a complaint, the three men were arrested. The groom and his family left in disgust, while the bride’s parents cried and begged them to reconsider. What I want to say is that everyone has a past. Recording or sharing private moments is a personal choice, but sharing them without consent is a crime. What do you think, dear readers? If this answer gets collapsed like yesterday, I’ll post it again 100 times. Read Also:- What amazed you today? Keep smiling and shining!

Not today, but a few days ago. Last Friday, I was on my way home, and since my train was delayed, I had to wait. When the train finally arrived, I boarded and was ready to go home, but the train didn’t start moving right away. Feeling bored, I started looking around at the busy platform, noticing how everyone was in such a rush. But then something caught my attention and stopped me from looking anywhere else. I saw a family of ragpickers sitting near the platform, and they were about to open a bundle of cloth, which I could clearly see. My curiosity grew, and when they opened it, I saw that it contained chapatis and a little bit of pickles. They were about to start eating when suddenly, a slightly blind beggar walked up to them. I wondered what would happen next, and to my surprise, the family gave him some chapatis and pickles. I was stunned by their kindness. But the story doesn’t end there. As all this was happening, I noticed a man in his 40s standing up from where he had been sitt...

What is the core difference between the mindset of an entrepreneur and a salaried person?

Image
My teenager skipped school again to travel with me to a seminar. This week, we went to Funnel Hacking Live in Nashville, TN. I don’t bring him along to teach him how to work, but to help him develop the right mindset. I want him to understand how the world works, not just how to work in a job. School teaches him technical skills, but I want to empower him with vision. So, to answer your question, what’s the core difference between the mindset of an entrepreneur and a salaried person? An entrepreneur focuses on providing value to others by solving their problems. A salaried person focuses on improving their skills to increase their value through their work. This leads to a completely different mindset. For example: Imagine an army trying to defeat an enemy. Read Also:- What have you regretted the most in your life? The army’s general is focused on finding the best way to solve the problem, while the soldiers are focused on improving their battlefield skills.

Life has suddenly turned upside down. In December 2021, my mother started losing a lot of weight unexpectedly. We took her to different hospitals for checkups, and the only thing they found was iron deficiency anemia. We were worried, but it seemed like nothing too serious. We continued her treatment at AIIMS, and her blood count improved, but she was still getting weaker. The doctors said she would be fine, but we couldn't wait. In February 2022, we decided to take her to Vishakhapatnam to get a second opinion, just to make sure there was nothing more serious going on. There are four people in our family: me, my mother, my father, and my older brother. My brother stayed home for an urgent matter, so my father, mother, and I went to Vishakhapatnam. After several tests, when I was sitting with the doctor, he said my mother had signs of gallbladder cancer. My father, who didn't speak English, didn’t understand what the doctor said. I was in shock, not knowing how to react. I look...

I failed to crack IIT-JEE, twice! I was preparing for the exam in Kota, and at one point, I almost lost all motivation in life. Unlike other JEE aspirants, my story is different. I wasn't a very bright student. After class 10, my father decided to send me to Kota for JEE preparation. Full of hope and dreams, I started my preparation. I did well at first, but in my first attempt, I only scored 82.2% in my CBSE class 12th boards. After reflecting on my performance, I realized I could crack IIT-JEE if given another year of preparation. I’m so grateful to my parents for supporting me, even when many relatives tried to convince them that spending money on my JEE preparation wasn’t worth it, especially for a daughter. They even suggested saving the money for my dowry and marrying me to an IITian! But my parents trusted me, and I went back to Kota to continue my preparation. This time, I worked extremely hard. I gave my best, and my hostel mates and the owner respected my dedication. I ra...

Tree Man Syndrome is a rare condition that causes abnormal growths on the body, especially on the hands and feet, making movement difficult and sometimes leaving people fully disabled. The condition is called "Tree Man" because the growths look like tree bark. It's caused by a genetic condition that weakens the immune system. One man from Bangladesh has this condition: People with Tree Man Syndrome are often treated as outsiders and seen as different. There is no cure for this condition, but surgery can remove the growths, and medications like retinoids can help control them. The growths are tough and have their own blood supply, so it takes many surgeries to treat the condition. The man in the story had 16 surgeries and has been able to manage his condition, even holding his daughter again. (The condition is not contagious.) Eight years ago, when the first season of Game of Thrones was released, there were several unforgettable scenes. One of these scenes featured a row of heads on spikes, meant to show the public what happened to "traitors" who were executed. (These heads were fake, so no need to worry!) Originally, the producers planned to have 20 custom-made heads designed for the scene. But the cost was too high, especially since the show was working with a limited budget for its first season. So, the production team found a reseller selling a box of heads. When the box arrived, they mounted them on spikes. However, one of the heads turned out to be of someone unexpected. They had a tight production schedule, so they quickly put a wig on the head and filmed it without showing the face for too long. The show was released without anyone mentioning the mistake. But later, during a DVD commentary, one of the producers accidentally revealed that it was the head of George W. Bush. This caused a lo...

What is the biggest hurdle to transform a non-entrepreneurial mindset into an entrepreneurial one?

Image
Luigi focuses on improving his own skills, while Mario focuses on gaining knowledge. Luigi works hard to improve his own life, while Mario works hard to improve the lives of others. Luigi thinks about solving his own needs, while Mario focuses on solving the needs of others. Luigi is obsessed with becoming more valuable to himself, while Mario wants to be more valuable to society. So, what is the biggest challenge in changing from a non-entrepreneurial mindset to an entrepreneurial one? The biggest obstacle is the "Me!Me!Me!" mindset. To make this change, stop focusing on your own success and learn to deliver value to others. Read Also:- Can we open our legs when sitting in a skirt/dress?
