Pregnant Delhi Woman Bites Off Husband's Tongue While Kissing

A shocking incident occurred in Delhi where a pregnant woman bit off half of her husband's tongue during a kiss.

The 22-year-old man underwent surgery at Safdarjung Hospital, but doctors are uncertain if he will ever be able to speak again, according to the police.

Neighbors and family revealed that the woman, who was eight months pregnant at the time, was unhappy with her husband because she felt he wasn’t good-looking and didn’t match her outgoing personality. Their relationship often involved fights over compatibility issues, with the woman criticizing her husband’s appearance and simple lifestyle.

Despite their frequent arguments, the couple reconciled multiple times. However, the wife reportedly showed little interest whenever the husband tried to kiss her. One day, when he tried again, she bit off more than half of his tongue.

The woman was charged under Section 326 of the IPC (causing grievous hurt) but was released on bail due to her pregnancy.

Years later, the man is still unable to speak and struggles to find work. Meanwhile, the woman remarried her college friend. This case was recently cited as an example during a family court presentation.
