The Power of an IAS Officer Transport Minister Thomas Chandy resigned after his corruption was exposed by District Collector T.V. Anupama. He illegally built a resort on poor people's paddy land, violating the Kerala Conservation of Paddy Land and Wetland Act. Despite the allegations, the minister tried to hold on to his position. He even went to the Kerala High Court asking for Anupama’s inquiry report to be dismissed. The court not only rejected his request but also criticized him for challenging his own government. His fate was sealed. In 2014, Anupama was appointed as the Food Safety Commissioner. She had a party leader arrested for demanding ‘Nokkukooli’ (a form of illegal money). She collected over 6,000 food samples during random checks across the state, finding many to be adulterated. On 3rd September 2015, Anupama banned the Nirapara brand of spices after discovering they had more starch than allowed. Anupama's achievements as an IAS officer are countless. She once sai...

Will Google ever go out of business?

Image
Yes, Google might go out of business sooner than we think. Companies fail when they become irrelevant. Google could quickly disappear if they don’t adapt faster than the technologies they use to reach their users. For example: Why did Google create the Chrome browser? It was a defensive move. If Internet Explorer or any other browser blocked them, Google could have been wiped out overnight. Why did Google buy Android? This was another strategic move. If iOS or any other mobile system blocked them, they could have disappeared overnight. Why is Google competing in the AI speaker market against Alexa and Siri? Again, it’s a strategic move. If web browsers become obsolete, Google could become irrelevant overnight. Now, the bigger question is, will Alphabet die soon? Google is now part of a parent company called Alphabet. Alphabet allows Google to separate side projects into their own businesses. Alphabet isn’t going anywhere soon. It will remain one of the most powerful companies in the Di...

In simple terms, some people are upset because they wanted a Middle Eastern actress for the role, but a half-English, half-Indian actress was cast instead. Normally, I would criticize poor movie decisions, but in this case, Disney made the right choice. The fictional Sultanate of Agrabah from the original cartoon isn’t actually in the Middle East. You won’t find a palace like Sultan Hamed II Bobolonius’s (yes, that’s his full name) in the Middle East (though it might be found in Oman). But do you know where you can find something similar? In India. The Taj Mahal, located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, is a famous mausoleum built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan for his wife Mumtaz Mahal in 1632. The Mughals were Sunni Muslims from present-day Uzbekistan who took control of India in the 16th century and ruled until the British took over in 1857. And guess what else comes from India? Tigers. As for the clothes, they’re inspired by Ottoman Turkish fashion, from a completely different part of the Isl...

What is the biggest life lesson you have ever learned??

Image
Never trust anyone completely, especially a crying woman. Avoid giving or accepting money, even with close friends. Choose your life partner wisely; ensure compatibility before committing. Don’t introduce your partner to family and friends until the relationship is solid. Learn to live alone; people around you can change or leave anytime. Invest time and money in yourself, not on unworthy people. Never reconnect with cheaters or backstabbers. Keep your secrets and financial status private; others might misuse them. Don’t try to fix or empower disloyal people. Leave immediately if someone, even family, disrespects your boundaries. Keep your plans and business ideas to yourself. Avoid showing sympathy; everyone has their own battles to fight. Stay in control of your feelings, emotions, and anger. Focus on earning and using money wisely. If someone tries to harm you, either avoid them or fight back. Learn to say, "No." Thanks for reading! Your One Upvote give me a lot of Support...

Do banks take alternative collateral?

Image
In Northern Italy, a bank called Credito Emiliano accepts cheese as collateral from local farmers. This tradition dates back to medieval times when cheese was designed to last a long time because there was no refrigeration to preserve dairy products. Farmers who don’t have other valuable assets to offer can use their cheese as security for loans. The cheese stored in the bank’s warehouses is worth over 100 million euros. This system is a big help for farmers who need money but can’t afford to store the cheese themselves. The bank’s warehouse has advanced storage techniques and takes better care of the cheese than the farmers could on their own. It’s an interesting setup—though it’s hard to imagine a bank like Bank of America accepting cheese as collateral! Read Also:- What is more important to succeed in life, hard work or talent?

What is more important to succeed in life, hard work or talent?

The Agrarian Age : Back then, wealth came from nature. The most successful people worked hard, using their skills to grow and sell crops or other natural products. The Industrial Age : In this era, wealth came from machines. Success went to those who worked hard and used their skills to create and sell machine-made goods and services. The Digital Age (Today) : Wealth now comes from data and knowledge. The most successful people use their creativity and problem-solving skills to adapt. Many products and services are now turning into data, reshaping how the world works. So, what matters more: hard work or talent? Throughout history, success has always required both. But can talent and hard work alone guarantee success? Think about this: Is a talented and hardworking farmer guaranteed success today? Not really. In advanced economies, only a small percentage of people work in farming now. What about a manufacturer selling CDs and cassette tapes? No chance! Even with talent and hard work, t...

Are Tamilians over the moon that Kamala Harris will become the USA’s Vice President?

Image
Why should we be so excited? Kamala Harris is an American. She was born in the United States and is a citizen of that country. Her loyalty lies entirely with the USA. I don’t understand why we’re celebrating so much. Sure, if someone like Thalapathy Vijay, Vadivelu, Palaniswami, or even Dinakaran became Vice President of the USA, that would be something to cheer about. But why should we be overjoyed just because Kamala Harris, who is the Vice President-elect, has some Indian roots? This obsession with connecting people to India doesn’t make sense. We’ve linked Biden to the East India Company and now claim Kamala Harris is a Tamilian. Read Also:- How hard did you work to get into an IIT? Let’s be realistic—her decisions or foreign policy regarding India won’t be influenced by her roots. It’s like saying an African American senator would favor Gabon or Gambia just because their ancestors came from there. It doesn’t work that way.

How hard did you work to get into an IIT?

Image
Too much 😃 or nothing 🤐—it all depends on how much effort you consider as hard work. For me, I gave my full effort—studying 12+ hours daily, managing all three subjects at once, dealing with peer pressure, academic stress, countless questions, endless doubts, and more. But I did it and achieved my goal of getting into IIT. Read Also:- Men should understand that some of these girls

#1 Confidence At an awards event, when asked a question in English, he calmly told the anchor, "Hindi mein pooch lo bhai" (Ask in Hindi, brother), without a hint of embarrassment. While many Pakistani and Indian cricketers have been trolled for their English, none except Rashid Latif ever responded with such honesty. Neeraj doesn’t care about speaking perfect English and is comfortable in his own skin. #2 Humility and Realism When asked, “Can you win a medal for India?” He replied, “Sir, koshish to poore dil se karoonga” (Sir, I’ll try my best). When questioned about Vetter’s claim of being better than him, he humbly said, “Sir, woh bahut behtereen khiladi hain, 90+ throws bahut kiye hain. Ab sirf muqabla ke din pata chalega” (Sir, he’s a great athlete and has done 90+ throws many times. We’ll know on the competition day). On the other hand, his friend Shivpal boldly said, “Sure, both of us will win medals,” but didn’t even qualify. #3 Respect for All Coaches Some people tr...

What is something that needs to be stopped?

Recently, I came across a shocking medical case. Name: Shyama Devi Age: 59 years Complaint: Severe pain in the urinary and genital area This woman lives in a remote, poor village and had fallen victim to a fake, unqualified medical practitioner. In the name of family planning, this person inserted a "Copper T" contraceptive through her urethra instead of her vagina. As a result, the Copper T ended up in her urinary bladder instead of her uterus. Over time, it crystallized into a solid stone-like mass, blocking her urethra. She experienced difficulty passing urine, along with inflammation and severe pelvic pain. On investigating further, I discovered that nearly all the women in the village had been treated by this same individual. These fraudsters pose as government officials working for family planning programs. They deliberately insert contraceptive devices incorrectly, causing severe pain and suffering. Victims, unaware of what to do, keep returning to these fake practi...
