What are your thoughts on Hardik Pandya's wife demanding 70% of his property after divorce?

Have you seen an agreement like this?

It will likely stay private unless there’s an open demand notice, like the one Ayesha sent to Shikhar Dhawan that went public.

Laws in Australia and India are very different.
In India, judges tend to be sympathetic towards women. However, this case involves a white woman, which could lead to mixed reactions:

  • Some male judges might be very sympathetic to her.
  • Some female judges might see her as a gold digger and be less supportive.

It’s unlikely that any judge would blatantly award 70% of assets.
Making a demand is one thing, but it’s just a legal notice. Often, demands start high (e.g., ₹50 crore for a botched surgery) but settle for much less (e.g., ₹25 lakh).

The biggest challenge for Pandya would likely be custody of the child.
Indian law heavily favors the mother in custody cases, so children almost always go to the mother.
