What are the most entertaining news stories from your home state?

 I’m from Florida, so I could probably share thousands of wild stories to answer this question.

Here are a few examples:

  • “Florida couple arrested for selling golden tickets to heaven.”
  • “Florida man arrested for throwing alligator through drive-thru window.”

But one of the craziest ones I remember is about Phillip Josef.

His dog was getting older, and he was terrified of losing him. Convinced science could save the day, he came up with a bizarre plan.

Phillip went to the University of South Florida, kidnapped a science professor, and held him hostage, demanding the professor make his dog immortal.

Thankfully, the professor was rescued, and Phillip was arrested.
